It may be pricey, but you're getting something nice. They also have a great kitchen and gift section that is so clean, so convenient. Very easy to find a host, birthday or anything gift for your next little thing you've got going. Cards, paper, ribbon, done!
Met Mkt is our number 1 grocery. Little more expensive than the chains, but fresh vegetables almost always in top shape and fresh fruits also very good. Fish and other meats good.
I have been shopping here for 3+ years. Their vegetables are always fresh and great quality. I also love their fresh flowers and flower pots. Their baked goods are delicious especially mango macrons is a must try. Good variety for various groceries and house goods. Self checkout option is available. Highly recommended.
Came here to get a cup of soup on a weekday afternoon. The store is clean and spacious. Very spacious. For some reason, seafood soups (gumbo, cioppino and clam chowder) are located in the seafood section and not with other soups, so if you are looking for those- go straight to the seafood section in the back. They also had a free hot cider sample. I got a small cup of cioppino and it was hot and flavorful. One of my favorite soups from this grocery chain.
Metropolitan market is always the gold standard in Seattle for everything they offer, especially produce and in-house confections. You will never go wrong with anything they make really, whether this savory items, soups, salads, or desserts. Their wine selection is excellent and did I mention the produce? Be sure not to miss Peach-O-Rama every summer, where they procure the VERY best peaches, sourced from local farms, and provide the brix rating (!) for each batch of peaches from each farm. Truly a shopping experience above and beyond any other grocery store in Seattle.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING THERE IS EXCEPT THE SEVERE DAMAGE THEY DO TO MY WALLET. LOL... This( and they have over zealous obnoxious security that shop you even after they should be able to realize your not a thief. It's a gross over zealous security loss prevention person a wee bit too impressed with themselves. ) But the food 😋 chefs kiss on quality and most of the checkers are a pleasure. Some... well I'll leave it at that. It would be great to shop there everyday but its more like 1 to 2 x a month for some unique or special delights. That salad bar alone is 25$ for one simple lunch. However. It's like I said.. chefs kiss on quality. And there all natural make up and hygiene department is excellent with many lovely choices. And the chicken pot pie made to order in a ceramic ramekin. Taste wonderful and presentation is good enough to serve to friend or family. 💯
I love this store. The team members are so nice, professional and caring. The store is absolutely gorgeous. Prepared foods is the best in the buisness, so is bakery meat and WOW, the produce department. I love Metropolitan Market.
Metropolitan Market’s a gem. The produce is always fresh, the deli counter’s got great sandwiches, and their selection of local wines and cheeses is top-notch. It’s a bit pricey, but you’re paying for quality and that neighborhood vibe. The staff’s super friendly, and the bakery section never disappoints. Definitely my go-to for special ingredients or when I just want to treat myself. Five stars.
